I've been seeing tons of stories about podcasting, and been showered with the confetti heralding its appearance, but it wasn't until today that I bothered paying attention to the big hoo-hah. That's because this is podcasting that isn't about podcasting, but about something near and dear to my heart, the Chicago Cubs. Cubscast.com is the labor of love of three die-hard Cubs fans (and apparent geeks). From their inaugural post:
Thanks to modern technology and the work or three dedicated and die hard Cubs fans that like the sound of their own voices (aptly named Sneetch, Lou and Sheps) you can sit (or better yet lay) anywhere you want and through your portable mp3 player, or internet capable personal computer, listen to game recap, thoughts, opinions, humorous chatter and friendlyish arguments all directly related to the topic that all the best people's lives revolve around: THE CUBS.
More about the endeavor here, from the Chicago Tribune.
