La Crosse Public Library Goes 2.0

Have a gander at our brand spanking new Flickr account and our remodeling blog. Just around the corner: IM ref.   And, the library has been doing gaming since spring.  I was here for the last one, and it was so great to see a room full of hyper-engaged kids!  Juniorette was even here for awhile but says she "sucks at Battlefield" too much to have fun.  Maybe Need for Speed will be more up her alley. It's like Mario Kart on steroids, right? 

For those of you who do IM ref, be on the look-out for lplconnects. I've added several of you to our buddy list, and have encouraged staff to practice on y'uns all!

Kids need gaming at the library because? Increased stats? They might trip over a book and look inside? Keeps them off the streets? More interesting than unfiltered sex sites?
