Pla-Mor Lanes Bowling Alley
I celebrated my six-month anniversary at La Crosse Public Library with my colleagues at the annual Maintenance Cup Bowling Tournament. I also, expectedly, got the low score (did you know that bowling is a sport?!), far before the imbibing took hold. My new nickname is "Tequila Rose."

I just stumbled on your blog (from the LISNews link to one of your posts). I spent 4 years in La Crosse recently, working at Gundersen Lutheran's flagship Health Resource Center (go check it out, it's pretty neat) and now have a brand spanking new job running the patient library at the Mendota Mental Health Institute in my hometown, Madison.
Your posts bring back nice memories of La Crosse! It was a nice place to live. Main problems for me: lack of single men (unless you feel like cruising 4th St.'s bars every weekend, and really like college-age boys), and homesickness for Madison.
I still stop at The Pearl for ice cream whenever I'm in town. Hope you and your family are still loving living there. I have heard so many good things about the director at LaXPL. A good director is worth her weight in gold!
