I [heart] My Baristas: Coffee Hound
Before I had kids, I had a very active social life, centered mostly around live music and cheap beer. For a long time after I had kids, I really missed being part of the crowd, and having regular hangouts, like the Gallery, the Sip & Smoke, Robinsons, That House, and various basements around town. The group still exists, and they still play, listen, congregate and drink beer together. Since I have a clinical aversion to leaving my house past 7 p.m., I've not felt compelled to re-join the old gang. Maybe once every couple of years, I'll venture out for a special show, and I always see every single person I saw the last time I was out. But, it's just not the same for me. I've transferred my social life to an earlier hour and a different venue as I am fortunate to be within walking distance of a kick-ass, independently-owned coffee house, Coffee Hound.
